Thermostatic Actuators RTN

Description: The Thermostatic Actuators RTN are specifically designed for use with radiator valves such as VDN.., VEN.., VUN.., VPD.., and VPE.. These self-acting actuators operate without the need for auxiliary power, offering efficient and reliable temperature control for heating systems. Key features include a high-quality fluid-filled sensor for fast room temperature detection, direct mounting with a union nut for easy installation without tools, and a robust construction ensuring quiet operation and minimal maintenance requirements. Optional protection against dismantling is available, enhancing security.

Application: The RTN thermostatic actuators are suitable for various applications, including:

  • Siemens radiator valves (VDN.., VEN.., VUN..)
  • Siemens pressure independent control valves (VPD..-135, VPE..-135, VPU...-135)
  • Radiator valves supplied by Heimeier, Cazzaniga, Oventrop, Honeywell-Braukmann, MNG, Junkers, and Beulco new (M30 x 1.5)
  • Radiator valves with actuators secured with an M30 x 1.5 union nut (nominal closing dimension 11.6 ± 0.3 mm and nominal stroke 1.5 mm)

Functioning: The RTN actuators utilize a fluid-filled sensor that responds to deviations from the room temperature setpoint. When the room temperature rises, the fluid inside the metal capsule expands, exerting pressure on the bellows and stem, causing the valve to close and reduce the radiator's heat output. Conversely, when the room temperature falls, the bellows contract, opening the valve to increase the radiator's output. This continuous operation allows for smooth regulation of heating water flow, maintaining a constant room temperature as per the setpoint.
